The Mary Hush Experience

Mary Hush is a series of themed parties that happen in unique locations across Ōtautahi. Creatives are invited to take over the buildings, and work with a theme that makes the event feel truly immersive.

These events started with the need for an alternative to the bars/binge culture, and shortage of venues that cater to more radical creative events; so Mary Hush started to inspire a more intentional urban nightlife scene.

We contact building owners, ask for permission to use their buildings, and make sure the event is run smoothly and on a way that feels mutually beneficial to the owner, and the creatives involved.

Each event follows a storyline that has been developing over 5 years, causing attendees to feel like they’re characters in an unfolding si-fi story. This gives each event an overarching theme to guide the music, art, and installations that make each event feel more cohesive and immersive.
